Scott Valentine was born shortly after me and is the next oldest staff member at Capstone. Scott worked at Capstone for a couple of years and then left for a job offer that we couldn’t compete with salary wise. But after two years his heart was still with Capstone and he has returned, for which I am thankful.

Scott is an athletic, personable, and talented individual who exemplifies the walk of a Christian man. He is an example to the residents and does an awesome job connecting and talking to them. As with all of our activity staff and night staff, the therapeutic atmosphere continues even after the official therapy is over. The real therapy goes on with the therapist but then the reinforcement of the principles and the personal support is carried on by the activity staff. Scott is excellent at this role.

He is a very good outdoorsman and fits in with the rest of the crew on off campus Outdoor Adventures. Scott spends lots of time with the residents during Canine Therapy, weight workout, meals, and activity time. It’s during these times that he is able to encourage residents in their Capstone journey.

Scott married up many years ago when he married Jill. They have two college-age children, Easton and Auburn.
