MS Marriage and Family Therapy

J.D. was one of my grad students a few years ago. Since then he as been a youth minister in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He’s had a couple of kids and fought through the mess of Hurricane Katrina within his community.

J.D. is a Master’s trained marriage and family therapist so he really understands what Capstone’s Core Model of therapy is all about. This helps him in working with the therapy staff as he does the case management for their residents. He is also very resourceful and has a lot of initiative.

When Katrina hit he was in charge of organizing a relief effort that combined the efforts of several groups. A colleague of mine told me what a great job J.D. did in that effort.

I knew that J.D. was a strong Christian man, a good student, and a talented person when he was a student of mine. It makes me happy to see another person at Capstone in whom I trust and believe. Our team is stronger because of him.

He’s been married to Meg since 2001 and has three girls; Gabie, Lexie, and Lucie
