Admissions

Admission Process:

1. Complete the online assessment. This assessment is helpful to parents and counselors in sorting through the young man’s situation and making good decisions in order to find the best solutions. It is sent to Heather Hite, Capstone’s Admission Coordinator. Once you submit the assessment you will receive an acknowledgement that we’ve received it, and an email that has some important information from Heather, a message from the Executive Director, Dr. Adrian Hickmon, and a parent reference list so you can begin calling some of our alumni. If you indicate on the last question of the assessment that you need immediate help you will receive a call from us shortly; either that day or early the next morning. Otherwise Heather will contact you on the next business day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to help you with your questions and individual needs.

2. You are also welcome to call or email at 866-729-4479 or info@capstonetreatmentcenter.com to ask questions and discuss concerns. Heather is available on Monday thru Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm CST.

3. If you need urgent assistance outside of these hours or during the weekend please call our toll free number and follow the prompts for a high priority response (or as stated, fill out the online assessment and indicate the need for an immediate response on the last question).

4. Based on the assessment and phone conversations, it will be determined if Capstone is an appropriate fit for the young man’s needs.

5. If residential treatment is recommended and you make a decision to admit your son, this can normally happen very quickly. Heather will inform you of dates when admissions are available. Depending on Capstone’s openings and your family’s schedule, a date and time will be set for an admission. Admissions times are 9:30a.m. and 2:00p.m. Monday through Friday. Alternate arrangements can be made outside of these times on a case by case basis.

6. Once an admission time has been set, you will be provided with directions and other pertinent information. It is also helpful if you print and fill out an admission packet. This can be brought on admission day.

7. If openings are not available immediately, you may reserve a future opening. In this case, a $1,000 deposit is necessary to secure that space on the waiting list. This money is credited to your account towards the initial payment. The deposit is refundable up to 14 days prior to admission.

***The admission packet is NOT an application to come, it is only to be filled out after arrangements have been made to come and an admission date/time is set***
